Depending on the task being performed will help determine what light color temperature to chose.
3000k vs 3500k led. A kitchen needs warm colored bulb ranging from 3000K to 4000 K. It is color tunable meaning you can switch between five color temperatures. You need to use the 3500K to 4500K range for the best results.
Either should do the job. I start the seed under the pure 4000k and the oldest mature auto is at the other end under pure 3000k and as an auto is harvested the younger plants move down the line away from the 4000k and more into the 3000k and spend most of their life in the middle under the 3500k mix. With having the extra red like that would it be best to go 3500k or stick to 3000k for full grow.
The 3500k has a higher bin available so its slightly more efficient. A 3000K LED bulb produces soft white or warm white or yellowish color light. 388 lm 65 mA Luminous Efficacy.
Appreciate the input were using Halo ML4 series LED modules in the recessed and the Halo SMD 4 in surface mount boxes. Im battling the same decision now. 1st grow journal 2nd grow journal.
LED vs Metal Halide vs Fluorescent High Bay Lights. Its that perfect blend of the two. 2700K 3000K 3500K 4000K and 5000K.
The colors are generally classified as either being warm or cold with those colors between 2000K-3000K being in the warm colors category and are in the yellow through red end spectrum. It has less of a yelloworange hue and will appear crisper for that reason. My main concern is flower quality and yield.
