The xB 5500K bulbs on 50w look great.
6000k vs 6500k color. I think it should be more suitable for plants since it has the colour of the sun. October 26th 2015 1205 AM. Gives off a bright bluish hue of light often found in commercial locations.
Despite the lowish K rating and lowish CRI rating 78 the light renders colors well. Or alternatively use a hardware calibartor like the Spyder 2 and get it exactly at 6500k. I have put up the 8000k too and found it.
The issue is that you loose part of the colors in sources below above 5500-6000K light they are not full spectrum so you will be loosing for sure some colors. The 6500K is a description of the color temperature which compares the color of the light to an incandescent bulb whose filament is operating at 6500K. You likely will see that 5000K appears slightly yellow and 6500K appears as pure white.
2800K and have a red-yellowish tone. The 6000K is also instrumental in the designing of LED headlights. 5000K is less than 6000K so 5000K is natural white which makes this color be close to light yellow while 6000K is a higher temperature which makes look somewhat blueish cool white.
Lamps rated between 5000K and 6000K are viewed as white while lamps above 6000K tend to have a blue cast. Warm white LED Lamps have a color temperature between 2700-3500K. Speaking of the differences between 6000K LEDs and 5000K ones think as weve just told you.
