But one that didnt use a lot of power.
Can you use a 12v bulb in a 120v. The fixture doesnt matter just match the bulbs to the power source. A transformer or LED driver for LEDs is required to step down reduceconvert the standard 120-volt supply provided to your home into a 12-volt or 24-volt supply for your lights. Hard to say without details.
You cant ask for less than that. Like the one you use to power your router andor modem just make sure it has 12 VDC output and can provide at least. Now they do make 12v bulbs that LOOK like regular household lightbulbs and will even screw into the same socket.
In the US most all residential lighting is going to be 120V. You need a 12vdc LED with an A19 socket unless you plan to remove the existing socket. I dont believe it will harm the fixture.
For example if you have a 120v light you can use any light fixture as long as you can screw in a 120v light bulb and if you have a 12v light you can use any light fixture as long as you can screw in a 12v light bulb. I wanted a 12 volt lightbulb For my home RE system that looked and functioned like a normal light brightness etc. Would the light have worked at all if it is a 12V line to a 120V light.
But again the devil is in the details. On the other hand if you plug a 120 volt bulb into a 12 volt fixture the bulb will not turn on and vice-versa is you plug a 12 volt bulb in a 120 volt fixture the bulb will be permanently damaged. 3W12V 250 mA which almost surely is the case but you need to check it to make sure the output voltage and current capacity should be on a sticker.
No a light bulb rated to work in a 120 volt lamp will not work properly in a 12 or 24 volt low volt lighting fixture. 120V LED Bulb on 12VDC 190MA. Id think it would it would just not be nearly as bright and wife says it was never very bright I dont remember.
