Landscape Lighting Tripping Gfci

I had a 20A AF-GFCI breaker that tripped fairly frequently when the circuit switches on.

Landscape lighting tripping gfci. Often times GFCI Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter outlets will trip if connections get wet. Second check all the GFI outlets by pushing the test and then the reset buttons. Most problems can be fixed with just a little bit of troubleshooting.

Im going to switch out the GFCI over the weekend and see it that solved the problem. My home is about 5 years old and the breaker provides power to half of the kitchen outlets and part of the dining room. Nothing is perfect so the GFCI allows there to be a tiny amount less current coming back in than there is going out.

Landscape lighting transformer keeps tripping circuit. The circuit breaker that provides power to the GFCI outlet should be checked to see if it is tripped off if it is off then reset the breaker and turn it back on and then reset the GFCI outlet. Oh recently I switched out the halogen bulbs to LED bulbs Im no sure if that would affect anything though.

Oct 30 2016. Recently a homeowner called because some of his landscape lights were not working. First wed try resetting it by pressing the Reset Restart or R button in your transformer.

Electrical Problem with an LED Light Tripping a GFCI Outlet. I decided to use a AFGFCI breaker in the main distribution panel in basement rather than a GFCI outlet outside. Transformer plugged directly into single gang GFI receptacle with an in use cover.

The GFI receptacle is about 100 from the house panel feeding it. Tripped breaker or GFCI. When we inspected his transformer we found that one of the circuit breakers kept tripping.
